    Kyoto Trail - North Section

    A relatively simple and pleasant walk through north Kyoto’s farmland and woods. Starting from the village of Ohara (which has a great Sunday market), you travel west over a short steep incline to reach Kuruma. Make sure you visit the serene Sanzen-in in Ohara before your walk (with an optional waterfall!)

    Walking Instructions

    There is an optional short walk to the Otonashi-no-taki Falls from the starting temple, Sanzen-in. The watefall takes about 15 minutes to reach (800m in distance). You can download the GPX track here and the KML track here.
